To Place TrayLine Components

Cableway components generally have the same placement procedure as Piping components.
Note: It is suggested that the user should be proficient with the AccuDraw tool when routing pipe in OpenPlant Modeler .
  1. Click on the Raceways ribbon.
Note: When you click the Raceways ribbon, the Standard Preferences dialog is populated with the properties associated with CableTray components.
  2. Open the Standard Preferences dialog and set the following Raceways properties

    Trayline Number

    or

    Cablet specification

    or

    Width

    or

    Depth

    or

    Type

Note: Both Width and Depth must be set before you will be able to place a CableTray component.
  3. Select a CableTray option from one of the Raceways Galleries. For components with more than one spec record (Bends, Reducers, etc.) the Spec Record Selection dialog displays.
  4. Select the desired spec record and click OK to continue.
  5. Pick the Placement Point for the component in the Place Component dialog and define any additional properties.
Note: A default placement point is defined when running Straight Cable Tray and cannot be changed.
  6. Pick a point in the drawing, or snap to an existing component to place.
Note: You may also input the (x,y,z) coordinates in the AccuDraw window if desired.
  7. Optional: When placing Straight Tray, you will be required to input a length for the tray. Pick another point in the drawing or enter the length in the AccuDraw window to draw the tray.
  8. Right-click to end the current placement procedure.
Note: By default, the command remains active until you select another command option.
